Fun Fact!

1–2 minutes

“Want to know a fun fact?” This is what I say (usually to my husband) when I’m about to share some weird or interesting tidbit I’ve learned (usually while conducting writing research). So, in honor of my tenth blog post, here are ten fun facts to get to know me better:

My favorite movie ever is Stand by Me (formerly obsessed with River Phoenix), but I also love Almost Famous (because “The only true currency in this bankrupt world is what you share with someone else when you are uncool,” is still one of the greatest lines ever). Excuse me while I go listen to Tiny Dancer.

My first job was helping kids at summer camp make their own fishing poles, a skill I knew nothing about then and have not retained now.

I have lived in ten different cities in six different states (Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, and Colorado).

I collect vintage Pyrex dishes and use them daily.

I’m a fraternal twin (and older by one minute). We went to college together and were roommates. In the first few weeks we lived in the dorms, our floor mates knew we were twins but hadn’t see us together yet. Some of them thought the twins had long blonde hair, the others thought they had short brown hair. In other words, we look nothing alike.

I’m a knitter! My goal one day is to have an entirely hand-knit sweater wardrobe.

I listen to songs obsessively on repeat. Like a lot.

I love a good trivia game.

My favorite color is turquoise, though I have recently developed a thing for rose gold.

I enjoy writing with fountain pens. I currently own seven, including one that belonged to my Great Nan.

Bonus Freaky Fact: I am six months and four days older than my husband, which is the same exact age difference between my parents, and my aunt and uncle. Weird, right?
